Our Practice

Any cat guardian understands that cats are unique and awe-inspiring creatures, graciously accepting us into their lives and allowing us the privilege of caring for them. We, too, consider it an honor to provide veterinary care for your beloved cats.

We prioritize the well-being of your cats in our feline-friendly and welcoming environment. Our state-of-the-art hospital focuses on disease prevention through various measures, including species-appropriate nutrition, wellness care, risk-based immunity evaluations, environmental enrichment, and stress management. We are highly experienced in diagnosing and treating feline disorders with compassion and expertise.

Our approach involves thorough investigation until we uncover the true cause of a disorder. Based on a rational diagnosis, we develop a treatment plan that may include changes to nutrition among other strategies.

At the Uniquely Cats® Veterinary Center, our feline healthcare team is driven by a profound and unwavering love for cats. We are passionate about helping cats live healthy lives, aiding sick cats in their recovery, nurturing the human-feline bond, and sharing our knowledge and the joy of feline health and happiness.

Since our inception, our practice philosophy has evolved and continues to evolve based on the lessons we learn through hands-on experience with our feline patients. During routine wellness and preventive care visits, we meticulously assess every aspect of a cat's life, beginning with their diet, to craft a completely tailored care plan. We believe in delving deep to uncover the root cause of a health issue and devising a solution rather than simply masking symptoms with medications.

Your cat's well-being is our top priority, and we are committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to ensure their health and happiness.

Cats have distinct medical needs that set them apart as a unique species. Unfortunately, many veterinary providers approach cats as if they were small dogs, neglecting their unique requirements. As dedicated feline-exclusive professionals, our expertise in feline-specific health and medicine informs every aspect of the care we provide for you and your cat. We understand the nuances of cat health and tailor our medical advice and treatments accordingly, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our feline patients.

We recognize that every cat, cat parent, and home dynamic is unique. Our doctors and staff are committed to collaborating with you as a team to identify the most effective path for you and your cat to enjoy good health and a happy life together.

Your input and preferences are integral to the decision-making process, and we strive to tailor our approach to meet the specific needs and circumstances of you and your beloved feline companion.

With over 56 combined years of feline-only veterinary care, our doctors bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our practice. They are deeply passionate about feline medicine as a whole and are particularly dedicated to ensuring the happiness and well-being of both you and your cat. You can trust in their knowledge and commitment to providing the highest standard of care for your beloved feline companion.

It's a troubling reality that much of the commercial cat food available is produced from low-quality ingredients, often with minimal oversight and under questionable conditions. These poor-quality diets, made from ingredients that don't align with a cat's evolutionary dietary needs, can contribute to numerous health issues and exacerbate existing ones.

At our practice, we base our nutritional recommendations on the "prey model" – reflecting the natural diet of cats in the wild, which primarily consists of small prey. We advocate for diets that adhere to this nutritional makeup, as we believe it is essential for the overall health and well-being of cats. Many of our patients have presented with chronic intestinal problems, skin disorders, respiratory diseases, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. We have observed that these conditions often either resolve or improve significantly when cats are transitioned to a species-appropriate diet.

We are committed to promoting the healthiest dietary choices for your cat to ensure their long-term wellness.

At Uniquely Cats® Veterinary Center, we take a unique approach to vaccinations compared to most other veterinary hospitals. We assess your cat's risk of disease exposure and carefully weigh it against the potential risks associated with vaccination. We encourage you to utilize this information, along with our recommendations, to make an informed decision based on this balance.

Additionally, we utilize vaccine antibody testing whenever possible to assess immunity levels. This approach enables us to avoid administering unnecessary vaccinations, further ensuring the health and well-being of your cat. Our priority is to provide personalized care tailored to your cat's specific needs and circumstances while minimizing any potential risks associated with vaccination.
